Visa Waiver Programme (VWP)
Cayman Airways wishes to remind all passengers that effective August 01, 2008, the US Customs and Border Protection has implemented the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA), and has made it mandatory for all Travelers under the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) to apply for advance authorisation prior to travel to the United States.
ESTA is now accessible via the Internet for all Citizens and Eligible Nationals of Visa Waiver Programme Countries who want to travel to the States at: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov
Effective January 12, 2009 all Visa Waiver Programme Travelers will be required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation prior to boarding a Carrier, to travel by Air or Sea to the United States under the Visa Waiver Programme.
Travelers are encouraged to apply early in this regard, at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to intended travel date.
After January 12, 2009, Visa Waiver Programme Travelers who do not apply for, and receive travel authorisation via ESTA prior to travel, will be either denied boarding, experience delayed processing, or be denied admission at a port of entry to the United States of America.
