Winners announced in CAL competitions
Cayman Airways (CAL) recently awarded four primary school students on Grand Cayman for their winning entries in the airline’s 40th Anniversary Essay and Art competitions. The topic of the Essay competition was: “The impact the airline has had on the Caymanian Society over the years”. After much deliberation by a panel of CAL judges, George Town Primary student Hasani Stewart (age 10) was named the first place winner of the essay competition. Second place went to Christopher J. Jackson Jr. (age 14) from the Alternative Education Program. First place winner in the Art competition was Nikolas Goldner (age six) from Cayman International School. Second place went to Ariana Thompson (age seven) from Triple C School. Ann-Marie Byrd, member of CAL’s 40th anniversary planning committee, commented: “We were all very proud of the quality of the entries we received. There is extraordinary talent among our young minds and we are pleased that some of them shared it in both the Art and Essay competitions.” 1st place winners received two round trip tickets to any Cayman Airways destination, and 2nd place winners received two round trip tickets to any Sister Island destination. --------- Photo captions:
